Sunglint on the Alabama Stream

.In this particular June 26, 2023, photograph taken from the International Spaceport station, sun light polishes off the hassle-free waters of the Alabama Waterway in a sensation called sunglint. When capturing Earth, rocketeers typically capitalize on sunglint's tendency to improve the contrast between water surface areas and also neighboring land areas.In the 1960s, the Alabama Waterway was hindered, making Dannelly Storage tank (the huge shining location at facility left). Development of the dam also increased water levels upriver. This led to flooding at numerous points along the stream. These disaster area are typical of floodplains-- the low, standard places promptly beside larger streams.
